A not so perfect life…

Olivier and Madison Malin live with their six year-old daughter Sabine in Paris’s most exclusive neighborhood, the Left Bank.  For most celebrity magazines they lead what you would call the “perfect life”: Madison is an American film star with Texan roots who has managed to become a Parisian It girl with her impeccable French accent, her sophisticated lifestyle and her collection of couture gowns. Her husband, Olivier, is a well known philosopher, a media darling and a tireless womanizer. Together, they are the toast of Paris but when their daughter goes missing at a European mega-amusement park, their pretentious lives will suddenly unravel and these two self-centered persons will finally have to focus on something other than their own reflections.

Kate Muir’s novel may be a “chick-book” but it offers a fun and satirical look at the lives of Paris’ rich and beautiful people.
